    Urban Rivals's review

    A contemporary collectible card game

    • Good design, artwork and animations
    • Amount of stuff and players
    • Overall, too static and predetermined

    "West card story"

Urban rivals follows the basic premises of any other CC game, as you have to collect cards and duel against other players worldwide. Between duels, you can upgrade your cards or get new ones in order to improve your performance.

Although gameplay is more or less the same as any other top consolidated card game around, Urban Rivals has several design elements that make of it. For example, upgraded cards are indeed new cards with brand new illustrations, and no the same drawing with an halo behind and the color changed. Likewise, even though battles are as static as usual, the animations used by the characters to attack are fun and enjoyable, at least the first times.

Lastly, hundred of different characters and enough players to guarantee you will ever find someone to play, make of this game one of the best CCG nowadays.
